The Lodestar

To keep God's testimonies means to obey his commands, to follow his will, and to live according to his truth. It also means to treasure his word in our hearts and minds and apply it to our lives to honour him with our actions, words, and thoughts.

But keeping God's testimonies is not enough. We also need to seek him with our whole hearts. That means loving him with all our being, desiring him more than anything else, and pursuing him passionately. It means seeking his presence, guidance, wisdom, and grace. It means delighting in him, trusting in him, and worshipping him.

We are blessed when we keep God's testimonies and seek him with our whole hearts. We experience his peace, joy, and satisfaction. We receive his favour, protection, and provision. We enjoy his fellowship, friendship, and intimacy. We grow in his likeness, character, and holiness.

Keeping God's testimonies and seeking him with our hearts is not easy, especially in a world that distracts us, tempts us, and opposes us. We need his help, his power, and his grace. We need to pray, read his word, meditate on it, memorise it, and share it. We need to worship him, serve him, and glorify him. We need to fellowship with other believers, encourage one another, and hold one another accountable.

Let us make it our goal and priority to keep God's testimonies and seek him wholeheartedly. Let us ask him to help, empower, and bless us as we do so.
