In John 14:2–3, He comforts His disciples with the promise of preparing a place for them in heaven: "My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you may also be where I am."

Personal Relationship with God

The relationship between individuals and God is central to the Christian belief in heaven. This relationship is depicted as a loving and eternal bond. Jesus emphasises this in John 17:3: “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” Eternal life, and thus heaven, is presented as intimate knowledge and connection with God.

The Hope of Heaven

For Christians, the hope of heaven provides comfort and motivation throughout life’s trials. The Apostle Paul eloquently speaks of this hope in Philippians 3:20–21: "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body."
