Manipur: Trulock Theological Seminary Torched down by Radicals
As the ethnic clash continue unabated in Manipur, the historic Trulock Seminary in Imphal is burnt down by radicals on May 4.
Though the college authorities repeatedly called police helpline to inform them that violent mob was advancing towards the college, no help arrived. Having no option left for them, the college authorities urged the students to flee to safe places after a short prayer.
Ten minutes after the students fled the campus, the radical groups barged into the campus and set fire to the buildings. No loss of death is reported so far.
Trulock Theological Seminary (TTS) was established in 1982, is affiliated with the Senate of Serampore College. During its four decades of service, it has produced many men and women who serve to bring God’s reconciliation through church-related organizations and public service.
