Prince E. Robinson is a talented and humble worship leader from Lucknow. He has made an enormous impact on Hindi Christian worship music. His songs Mai Azaad Hoon, Mera Tu Hi Sahara Hai, Yeshu Raja, and Tu Zaruri Hai, have touched many hearts across India. Well-known for his spirit-filled music, Robinson is a beloved figure in Christian music. His latest project, Project Ek, goes beyond music to foster unity and ecumenism.

The Vision of Unity

The name Project Ek reflects its mission—“Ek” means “one,” signifying unity. The project brings together various songwriters and musicians from across India, aiming to glorify God as a united body of worshippers. With its slogan, “Project Ek, Log Anek!” (One Project, Many People), the initiative encapsulates the heart of ecumenism—diverse voices joining in a common purpose to worship God.

The Birth of Project Ek

Robinson started Project Ek because he saw many hidden talents in Indian churches while performing worship in various parts of India. He saw that they were not getting the support they needed. He noticed many gifted songwriters and musicians without funds, logistics, or platforms. This made it hard for them to release their songs on YouTube or Spotify. Robinson created this project to support these artists so that they can share their God-given gifts with the world.

Supporting Emerging Artists

Through Project Ek, Robinson has built a team that helps shape the lives of these artists. The focus on collaboration without overshadowing individual identity makes this endeavour unique. Robinson says, “We do bring them under our umbrella, but for their worship profile to be moulded. We do not intend to take any credit if the individual is not comfortable, and we believe in working in the background instead.”

Project Ek’s First Season: A Step Towards the Future

In May 2024, Project Ek wrapped up its Second Season, which included a three-day summer camp along with recording in Lucknow. This season showcased artists from India, including Delhi, Jharkhand, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The songs were not released on a central platform like Robinson’s YouTube channel. Instead, they were released on the artists' channels. This highlights Project Ek’s focus on empowering individual artists.

A Movement of Unity in Worship

Project Ek is not just a musical venture but a movement of unity and collaboration within the Indian Christian community. By bringing together diverse talents and giving them the tools and support to thrive, Robinson fosters an atmosphere where the body of Christ can truly worship together despite geographical and logistical challenges. His work has already begun to make waves in the Indian Christian music scene, and the potential for Project Ek to grow even further is vast.
