Trust

Central to the Psalms is an unwavering trust in God’s unfailing love and providence. Psalm 23, perhaps one of the most beloved passages in the Bible, declares, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want... Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.” The presence of this verse reveals the beat of God's direction and security in hard times. Jesus Christ and the Psalms

It is impossible to explore the Psalms without recognising their profound significance in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus cries out, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" echoing the words of Psalm 22:1. Through this action, he brings together not only the suffering of humanity but also sums up the Messianic expectations of the Psalms.

The Psalms can be described as an everlasting source of hymns, complaints, and trust that is truly overwhelming with the feelings of believers of different cultures and generations.
